Included are an analysis of each player's strengths and weaknesses, rankings of the most talented and the most valuable...

    A unique, useful book

Encyclopedias contain the stats of everyone who ever played -- no prose; just numbers; no comparisons. They have great, but limited value. If you're interested in any era, they provide the beginning information, if you have the patience to dig it out.

This book has done the digging for you relative to the dead ball era. If that's your focus of interest, this is the book for you. Only the better offensive players are included -- incidental players are ignored. You get bios and comparisons by position, plus an All Star team.

The only book of its kind produced by a time-tested writer of baseball books. Unique and useful.
