Meet the Author

Colin Beveridge holds a doctorate in mathematics from the University of St Andrews. This wasn't what I was looking for. Unfortunately their were no previous reviews and I trusted that this book would lay out simple mathmatic operations in a quick review that I could use when required at work or home. Instead, this book prepares the user to assault the UK Adult Numeracy Exams. A lot of coaching, explaining and very verbose simplification of math operations. I'm sure its very good at what it intends to do, just maybe not as useful if your looking for a quick refresher and desktop guide to basic math. Consider that your warning. The book seems to "translate" ok from "English" to "American". For this reason I am giving this a guide a neutral "3" rating.
