This book is really well written as a beginner's guide. I am a novice and found it useful. I appreciate how concisely it is written and it doesn't have a bunch of extra "stuff" written in that would distract from the intent of the book. I highly recommend this to my friends (and fellow readers) who are wanting to get started with basic rifle marksmanship.

I read the book in 15 minutes.it didnt really teach anything.anyone with basic knowledge of firearms should have already learned this material. It would have been more helpful if it had some diagrams and more illustrations.

This could have been a better book. It probably is better in print, but the scanning process did not bring the pictures in well and some of the text got cut off. Even so, the explanation of how to assume the positions is not very detailed and coupled with pictures that are really too small in the nook application to easily viewed, this book is less useful that I hoped.

At first I was skeptical of this book because of the price¿ You know, you get what you pay for. However I took a chance on this and was pleasantly surprised! Although this book seems to be geared towards the novice shooter, I applied a few of the tips that the author provided and saw my shooting scores increase by no less than 10 percent. It is evident that Thompson knows the subject of marksmanship quite well! Thompson writes in a very straight forward and easy to understand style. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.
