    Good Introduction To Spanish

    The key to learning a language is listening and repeating out loud. A three year old child might use 200 different words in a day, but communicates well with adults.

    This app lets you learn a few dozen basic phrases and a couple of hundred basic words while learning to pronounce Spanish correctly. A person who totally masters this course would have a solid foundation to build on, and would be able to carry on basic conversations.

    I hope the author will offer a second and third level to this course. REMINDER: Be sure to go to your Nook's settings menu, and set the audio level for media to 100%. That allows you to use the volume button on your Nook to hear the voices clearly.

    Difficulties with sound

    I had difficulties with the sound feature at first. The support from Skava guided me to go into settings, choose sounds and on the media setting turn up the media sound. I really enjoy this app now!

    No sound

    I havent really got 2 use this app much because the sound quality is terrible. I can see the words but the sound quality is HORRIBLE. I wish i wouldnt have purchased this.

    Excellent and fun app.

    I had an audio problem too, so I emailed Skava support. You have to raise the Media volume on your Nook, ("Settings" / "Sounds" / "Media") not just the overall volume, to clearly hear the audio samples. No regrets w/ my purchase.

    Great Tool for learning and review!

    I saw a few negative reviews online about how "Basic" the lessons were, how one could not really learn anything....and etc. First of all, for the real dummies out there please review the title before complaint. Second, I seriously disagree, I found it not only handy for review, but for a learning tool as well. Overall, very enjoyable both for language content and as a part of this series.

    Very useful

    This app is sooo useful if you are wanting to confuse someone who doesnt know any spanish... but not useful if you are trying to actuall LEARN spanish.

    Will not work on tablet

    As many others have noted, this simply does not work on the Nook Tablet. It appears that the DRM will not recognize the Tablet as a legitimate device.

    Very nice

    I just bought this program because i forgot all of the spanish i learned in grade school and its pretty nice! For the sound you have to change the media sound on your nook :)

    Basic, hah

    This is like having a personal translator, minus the money. I've been wanting to learn Spanish, and this will help me when I take it next year. The dictionary is huge, and you can do so much with this app. It says basic, but I could live using just the vocabulary in this app. If only I could use this app for my tests......

    Great app

    Helps you get down the basics very well. It's been three dys since i got this app, and i already know about ten spanish phrases and ten simple words. I think it teaches it well. The pronunciation sound quality might not work well at first, but once you go to nook settings and fix it, it works very well. Theres no reason to give this app one star just because of the sound quality that actually works very well.... you just have to get it to work. This app deserves better than that, as it is a wonderful spanish teacher. It's good for learning the basic phrases ans words as well as having fun by confusing someone who doesnt know spanish. Great app :)

    Love it

    meh.

    Not what I was hoping for. I didn't want flash cards or boring pages of phrases. I would like to find an app that incorporates Spanish words and phrases into a fun game, so I don't get bored.
