Meet the Author

Julie attributes her passion for writing romance to all those fairy tales she read growing up, and shyness. Encouragement from her family to write down those feelings she couldn't express became a love for the written word. She gets continued support from her fellow members of the Prairieland Romance Writers, where she serves as the resident "grammar goddess."

This award-winning author and teacher has published several paranormal romances in addition to her beloved romantic suspense. Inspired by the likes of Agatha Christie and Encyclopedia Brown, Julie believes that the only thing better than a good mystery is a good romance.

Born and raised in Missouri, she now lives in Nebraska with her husband, son, and smiling guard dog, Maxie.

    Travis !!!!!!! Wow !!!!!!!!

Travis is great. This is a good series of stories about siblings. My favorite was Caitlin and her relationship with Sean, but this one is a close second.

    I Also Recommend:

    Another success for Ms Miller

I really enjoyed this series (read Carnal Innocence and Major Attraction first). I love the McCormick family ... just wish there were more of them! Ms Miller is a great writer with just the right combination of great story and hot, steamy, romance.

    more from this reviewer

    A terrific contemporary military romance

In Ashton, Virginia physical therapist, Tess Bartlett asks her long time friend Marine Corps captain Travis McCormick, who is on leave recovering from injuries, for a favor. She wants him to teach her basic sex training and advancde boudoir maneuvers. The courageous marine thought he could handle anything, but her enlisting him shakes him to his core.---- She even barters with him. She will help with his recovery by providing him physical therapy if he trains her on sex therapy. Travis reconsiders his old buddy who is a beautiful desirable woman and decides he is the man for the job especially when an enemy sets his sights on destroying any relationship between Travis and Tess. What he does not know is that Tess selected him because she loves him and figures seduction with him as her drill instructor is her best strategy to win the campaign for his heart.----- BASIC TRAINING is a terrific contemporary military romance starring two likable protagonists whom the audience will want to find their way to each other. The story line is superb when Tess maneuvers her beloved into scenarios that he suddenly finds he wants to take that hill. The relatively late suspense is cleverly devised but actually takes away from a delightful tale of a strategic planning female carrying out her operation to win the heart of her beloved marine.--- Harriet Klausner
