Basic writings of neitzsche, a collection of some of his greatest works of poetry, philology, and philosophy, is a profoundly deep read, and not one for those of fickle disposition. I broke this rule, and picked up this book when I was a naive 14 year old with a lust for knowledge, and a lack of patience. This book far beyond me, and i found myself constantly sifting through the dictionary, at least three times on every page of this book, and even after finding the definitions i scarcely understood what this eccentric german was saying. now i'm 15, nearly 16 years old, ive read the book three times and i finally understand most of it, and its the best book ive ever had the honor of buying out of my own impatience. (and believe me, there have been many). neitzsche, a precursor of psychology and existentialism, an incredible sylist, and the most influential mind, perhaps next to marx, of the nine-teenth century. buy this book, but please have a prior understanding of philosophy, and a good volcabulary beforehand.
