About the Author

ofie Berga is a Certified Pediatric Registered nurse and a skilled author and creative thinking person, with many years of experience in treating children, both in the everyday care at the hospital and in more critical situations. Sofie was born and educated in Copenhagen, Denmark where she lived the first 26 years of her life. She graduated with a bachelor in nursing from Denmark in 1996 and carries with her the Scandinavian tradition of involving the sick child in the healing process. As a mother to two younger children, and coming from the land of H.C. Andersen, Sofie is familiar to the world of fairy tales and the imaginary world of children. Her education and her experience from traveling all over the world is the driving force in her work, as well as in the charity work she does in her spare time. Sofie has worked with Children in the medical setting as a pediatric nurse since 1999, in both Florida and California. Covering the areas of Infectious/ Internal medicine, Respiratory diseases, some oncology, step down units in NICU and PICU, some orthopedics and last ER.
