Taking place in the "New 52" re-boot of DC Comics. Barbara Gordon now has the use of her legs and dons her cape and cowl to return to being Batgirl. Filled with self doubt she returns to fighting crime on the streets of Gotham. It features appearances by Batman, Nightwing and of course her father Commissioner Gordon. Any fan of Batman's extended family will enjoy this adventure as Babs finds her place anew in the New 52!

Nice background story and struggle to balance fear and action packed bravery. Strong female protagonist.

Before we discuss about this book, apparently I was overestimated about how many customer reviews remaining until my customer review saga's finale, we've already gone through Percy Jackson's saga already now let's focus on a comic that started it all. In 2012, After reading Bone and Amulet, I decided to pick a third Graphic Novel so before I started purchasing DC New 52 Comics with my BN Membership, then received numerous DC New 52 Comics as Nook Samples plus Marvel Comics as Nook Samples, then purchased more DC New 52 Comics in the Barnes and Noble store (the last few were received as Birthday gifts) and then resumed the DC New 52 Comics as Nook Samples all the way up until I cannot receive any more, there was this comic. This comic subtitled as the Darkest Reflection was my first ever graphic novel as a name brand (apparently Bone and Amulet appeared to be more generic than DC and Marvel). I thought to continue this series by its name title (Batgirl, obviously) but it turns out that there are a lot of other options that the DC Universe will have in store, so that's when titles like Red Hood and the Outlaws and Batman Incorporated showed up. To see more of my customer review saga, look in Batman Incorporated Vol. 2, Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 1 and the Nook Sample titled Batman Zero Year Vol. 4, also look in Allegiant, Frozen the Junior Novelization, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal Vol. 3, Pokemon XY Pokedex Guide, Bone Vol. 4 the Dragon Slayer, Amulet Book 3 the Cloud Searchers, the Lightning Thief, the Sea of Monsters, the Titan's Curse, the Battle of the Labyrinth, the Last Olympian, the Lost Hero, the Son of Neptune, the Mark of Athena and the House of Hades. Hopefully for sure, one more review until my Customer Review Finale!
