From Barnes & Noble

"Let's go, Robin. The longer we tarry, the more dire the peril." For almost three-quarters of a century, Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, has kept busy, neutralizing evil while concealing his double identity. The secret is out, however, in this large-scale celebration of the Caped Crusader and all his daring deeds. Rolled out in DK's signature very visual style, Batman: The World of the Dark Knight features the full color comic book art that has made this hero a multigenerational favorite. (P.S. Next month marks the release of the film The Dark Knight Rises. As if we had to tell you....)

    the Batman history wow!

this is one of the best books on the history of Batman i have ever read. and it is published by DK, everything by this publisher is wonderful. the art work is just great, the cover is by Jim Lee and each chapter is about another aspect of Batman, the last few chapters are by story lines, all the way up to Hush. this was a gift for my birthday and given to me by my sister, i got three Batman books out of the gift card she gave me, what a treat.
