This album inspires great amounts of different emotions in each of its recordings. If you need to be cheered up, or listen to a type or music that displays great dread this is it!

Say what you want about Tim Burton's vision of the Caped Crusader, the choice of Danny Elfman to score both of his Bat-films was right on the money. Elfman's score for the 1989 ''Batman'' perfectly captures the Gothic feel of Burton's movie, but it's an incredibly beautiful score on its own, not least of which includes the eminently hummable ''Batman Theme.'' A definite must-own for any lover of film music.

There are times where you feel as if you have been transported into Gotham City. You can almost see the hugely ornate Gotham Cathedral. The classic Batman Theme is on the disc and is perfect, it sends chills up my spine. The Joker's Poem is eerie and mysterious, while Childhood Remembered is intense and driving. Waltz To The Death is beutifully orchestrated. It is the classic Batman album.
