    I Also Recommend:

The introduction of the Black Glove comes at no expense of superhero death.

Grant Morrison provides a compelling story with great ideas, but presents it within a somewhat disjointed narrative that provides confusion to those unwilling to pay attention, and this story is no exception. Taking off from "Batman and Son" and leading into "RIP," "The Black Glove" is a story essential to the current Batman mythos.

Introducing Doctor Simon Hurt (a man of great importance in the following "RIP"), the Black Glove (an organization of great importance in the following "RIP") and completing the three Batmen arc (a story started in the preceding "Batman and Son") "The Black Glove proves its worth, and is definately worth the reader's time, however it cannot stand alone. And being able to stand alone is part of what Trades are supposed to accomplish, and in this is fails miserably. That said, if you have read "Batman and Son" you will mroe than likely enjoy this tale of superhero murder mystery, and trained Batman replacements.

It definately gets a semi-enthusiastic thumbs up from this Batfan... the whole trilogy (of "Batman and Son," "The Black Glove," and "RIP"), however, would earn itself two very enthusiastic thumbs up, so if you're interested in this, you should just get all three.
