    More Than 5 Stars.

I picked up the original comic books during the heels of the death of Superman story arc. It depicted a Batman who despite pushed to the limits and eventually faces Bane and stops the escaped criminals from Arkham. This introduced Azrael who will later take up the mantle of the Bat.

    Classic Batmania!!

I finally got a chance to read who Bane breaks the Bat and I have to say for when it was made its pretty good. Batman has to run an amazingly tough gauntlet as Bane terrorizes Gotham. He is pushed beyond his limits and isn¿t relying on any kind of support system. Here you see how crazy Bruce Wayne actually is but its clearly a different kind of crazy than Bane, Joker, or Mr. Zsasz. There were some dated parts, like Bane¿s goofy henchmen, the G.C.P.D.¿s ineffectiveness, and the TV spots but this still holds up well. Bane maybe looks too smart but I¿m it¿ll come full circle by the end of the storyline. The art is classic 90s art but really enjoyed it. Overall this is a good book and should be checked out by all comics fans.

    Review

The first part of Knightfall is an excellent story about Bane attacking Batman both physically and mentally, but its complicated back-story that isn't revealed is frustrating--providing a similar narrative told in DC Comics' The Death of Superman.

Suffering from Too Much Hype but still a Great Story

Holy review, Batman. I'm not sure what it was that held me back from giving this one a 5 star. Was it the art? Was it the anticlimatic ending? I dunno. But this title wasn't a total loss. Nananananananananana, Batmannnn!!

    Sloppy

The idea behind Batman's end is interesting (considering how Superman died), but the execution was poor. The WHOLE plot is nothing more than a forgettable villain breaking Batman's spine...

...so where is the REAL story here? I must have missed something.
