I adore this book. I bought it for the "Mad Love" story and was quite pleasantly surprised by the other stories it contained. "Mad Love" is a look into the twisted relationship between Harley and the Joker. It also gives useful background information on how they met; Harleen Quinzel being his therapist. The writing is bubbly and upbeat and provides a great cartoon-feel that makes you want to read more. And the artwork is truly adorable. It has a retro-comic feel to it and supplies a great deal of interest for the reader. The other stories, though less-famous, are good in their own ways. The writing is still just as good as "Mad Love", but if you bought the book strictly for that story (like me) you will be happily surprised. The other stories offer looks into other villains and how they got their starts as well. You learn more about Scarecrow, Two Face, and The Ventriloquist. These stories are delightful and offer insight into a few main characters, as well as some lesser-known ones. I encourage people to read this through, because even if you're in it for "Mad Love" you'll get more than you thought. It's a nice little treat that makes you happy to own it. The content is pretty docile, but there are a few parts that include murder, sexual situations, and violence. I wouldn't recommend this for children. I hope that this helps you make a decision. If you buy it, you won't be disappointed. Happy reading!
