Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sheilah Egan
Batmania affects young and older readers alike. Here we see this famous superhero with his sidekick. When Joker’s giant robot runs amok, Batman and Robin get a call. They decide that this is a job for two heroes. ZOOOOM! Goes the Batmobile as the team races toward Gotham City. “That bot’s gone bonkers! Says Robin.” The bright green and purple robot is shown stomping everything in its path. After the heroes take turns firing their hooks at the rampaging robot’s feet, it will not budge. That’s when Batman says, “Let’s pull together.” “WHUMP! Goes the robot as it crashes to the ground.” Team work is the key element here, “‘Together,’ Batman says, ‘No problem is too BIG!’” The usual comic book drawings are accompanied with large, bold text making this perfect for beginning readers. The board book format will provide multiple readings. Reviewer: Sheilah Egan; Ages 2 to 5.
