Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 3-6-A lively overview of magnetism and electricity and how they are connected. Each double-page spread includes a paragraph or two of information, along with at least one activity to illustrate the concept introduced. Bright, clear photographs and illustrations serve as good supplements to the text. Glover gives ample warnings for potentially dangerous experiments. While the information and projects are similar to those found in Neil Ardley's The Science Book of Electricity and The Science Book of Magnets (both Harcourt, 1991), and Sandra Markle's Power Up (Atheneum, 1989), the linking of the scientific principles makes this title a distinctive and interesting addition to libraries.-Janet K. Hamilton, Museum of Science, Boston
