LtCol Lanning¿s short narrative of the 100 most influential battles is an interesting read. As a historian I found the book lacking but I was intrigued by his reasoning and logic. Although I did not agree with all of his choices, he provided enough detail for amateur historians to question, yet he allows many young historians to learn. It is an informative overview that many will enjoy.
