Overview

Battle Earth is the first of an epic new science fiction trilogy that tells of humanity's desperate struggle to survive against an overwhelming alien invasion.

A distress transmission from Mars research colony warns of an advanced and unknown enemy approaching the heavily populated lunar colony. An elite marine unit commanded by Major Mitch Taylor is dispatched to protect the beleaguered civilians. However, the attack is merely a prelude to a massive invasion of Earth.

When the vast enemy mothership smashes through the Earth's atmosphere and deploys in the Atlantic, the armed forces of Earth soon realise they are fighting for the very survival of the human race. As cities fall throughout the world, American and European forces rally together to make a stand as they battle an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered.

Battle Earth is a futuristic sci-fi action adventure that chronicles vast bloody battles following humanity's first reach into the stars.

The author has a well used story that he doesn't improve on. Plus his total lack of military knowledge and imagination produce a book set 220+ years in the future but with soldiers using technology that is old NOW!! Not very exciting.

Horrible! The author's inaccurate depiction of U.S. Marines along with page after page of grammatical errors plagued & doomed this book. Dialogue between characters was confusing at times. Waste of time. Had potential but after 70 pages I was done. Worst book I gave ever read!

The book is pretty much the equivelant to a fun saturday morning B-movie and should be treated as such to find enjoyment from.

This book reads like it was written by a committee of 7th graders. Clearly the author has a poor grasp of anything related to the military and yet the book begins with nothing but the military perspective. His portrayal of military characters is juvenile, his grasp of tactics seems to be missing completely, etc, etc. Even so, all of this could be forgivable if he told a good story. Unfortunately, he does not. The plot is mundane and simplistic and his presentation is filled with broken thoughts, poor syntax choices, and clumsy grammar. It is actually painful to read. I have probably read just about every single military themed science fiction novel ever published and I cannot recall ever reading anything else this bad. And yet, he writes on. Amazing. Is the market really that easy to impress?

A fun and entertaining read that combines Battle LA with Independence Day but on a truly global scale. It makea a real change to see forces across the globe waging a desperate war against an alien threat.

Was an interesting read but did not hook me in with the characters. Nor did it give a hooking original story line. Might pick up the sequel if I cannot find nothing else more interesting.

An insult to the Marine Corps. The author has no clue as to life in the military. His notions of logistics might be laughable if they weren't just plain stupid, and anyone who's read even one article about airplane design knows you can't just strap on engines that you've never seen before and expect it to fly. And to put a pilot in charge of of this engineering miracle...and to do it in 24 hours. Just plain stupid.

Not a bad story but the grammar, spelling and editorial mistakes are a joke. So much so that i cannot continue reading the series. Btw, pass this on to your brother, his books are nearly as bad.
