My son is very interested in American History. He saw a movie about the Alamo which got him interested in this book. He has several of the Interactive History books. He enjoys selecting the paths the characters take in their lives. The books are realistic and the stories do not always have happy endings - like life. They give you a glimpse into the lives of people who lived in the past. The cover art is also eye-catching. There are many books in the series so a child can find some topic that will interest him/her. The series is highly recommended.
