Battle: A Visual Journey Through 5,000 Years of Combat

Overview

DK's Battle draws together, for the first time, the many facets of battle—the glory and the gore, the attrition and atrocity—in a new and original way. A descriptive journey that explains many questions asked by the public about warfare and combat.

An outstanding visual journey that explains so many answers that have been raised. This book also shows many of the battles fought through the generations of the world.I enjoyed reading this book, and I know that any one who is interested in combat and/or weoponry will enjoy.

    more from this reviewer

Putting us in the middle of the battle!

2nd best book by R.G. Grant. I own 3 of his titles and it comes 2nd to COMMANDERS. BATTLE takes us back to the biggest and most important battles and puts us right in the middle. Maps, locations, casualty count, and dates are precise and help us comprehend the desperation on the battlefield. Beautiful art, hundreds of battles, famous quotes- what more could a man want? A must-own.
