KELLY DEVRIES is Professor of History at Loyola College in Maryland. He is the author of several books, including Medieval Military Technology, Infantry Warfare in the Early Fourteenth Century, Joan of Arc: A Military Leader, and Guns and Men in Medieval Europe.
MARTIN J. DOUGHERTY is a freelance writer and editor specializing in military and defense topics. His published works deal with subjects ranging from the history of small arms to naval warfare and private security.
IAIN DICKIE’S interest in military matters was first inspired by pictures of Roman artillery at the age of 12. He has been a committee member of the Society of Ancients, the editor of Army & Navy Modelworld, Military Hobbies, and now Miniature Wargames magazine.
PHYLLIS G. JESTICE is Assistant Professor of Medieval History, University of Southern Mississippi. She was previously Lecturer in Ancient and Medieval History, California State University.
CHRISTER JORGENSEN graduated with a PhD from University College, London, and his thesis on the “Anglo-Swedish alliance of 1805–09” was published by Palgrave in 2004. An expert in Swedish military history, he has published various titles on World War II, including Rommel and Scandinavia During World War II.
