Overview

The fight continues in the Wildlands. Facing extinction, the Pantera have been given a miracle. A child. The first one in over fifty years. But even as they prepare to celebrate, the enemy strikes, putting at risk the fragile female who carries the hope of their people.

BAYON
Charming, drop-dead gorgeous Hunter Bayon is thirsting for revenge on the enemies who slipped into the Wildlands and attacked Ashe and her vulnerable child. Pledging to track down the cowards, Bayon goes on the hunt, pursuing the humans to a nearby town. But searching their shabby hideaway, he makes a discovery that shocks him to his very soul and might very well destroy the heart of the Pantera.

JEAN-BAPTISTE
Tattooed and pierced, sexy Nurturer Jean-Baptiste has been living in utter isolation. His cat is out of control, and the only thing that soothes the beast is a rare mineral he keeps inking into his skin. Until he meets her: Genevieve Burel. The beautiful and buttoned-up female puma is unlike anyone he’s ever met. She makes his cat purr, and he knows he must possess her, mate with her. But the secret she's keeping might threaten not only their unbridled passion for one another, but the very future of the Pantera race.

    Incomplete could have been better.

Ok. I get that the plot is a continous storyline focusing on each pair of lovers. But to end it in the middle of a scene without clear resolution just plain frustrates me.
I like this series and the characters. But the writer's style needs more refinement and better editing. Misspellings and missing words were too numerous to ignore.
I will still continue with the series but my expectations will be lower than they have been. Seems like the writer is in too much of a hurry getting published instead of writing enough content for a really great book.

    Installments

While I enjoy the story, I hate the way it is being told in installments! By the time the next book comes out, I've nearly forgotten what has gone before. Frustrating!

    The Saga Continues....

Ok, this is me reading Bayon/ Jean-Baptiste. La,la,la,la, ooooh hot and sexy, la,la,la,la, mmmmm, more hot and sexy, la,la ....wait....what???? That can't be the end!! Ahhhhhhhh!! THE HUMANITY!!! I mean seriously, I fell for it again. D'oh! That being said, I can say with out any doubt that I have never enjoyed being stabbed in the heart quite as much.

The whole legend of the Pantera and their failing magic is continued in Bayon/ Jean-Baptiste. Bayon is searching for the villain who harmed Ashe and her unborn child. The child that may be the sole hope of saving the Pantera. Bayon is thrown off the search when he finds the woman he thought was dead for 25 years. She has been tortured and is mentally fractured, but Bayon knows he has found his mate and she may hold the answers they need to finally stop the hidden enemy.

Jean-Baptiste is a born Nurturer for the Pantera. He specializes in helping Pantera whose inner Puma has gone feral. Jean-Baptist has a secret he's been trying to deal with. He has lost control of his cat and has taken extreme measures to maintain a grip. Unfortunately with the trouble the clan is having, Jean- Baptiste is pulled into duty and he is paired with a straight laced, hard nosed suit, Genevieve Burel (Remember that last name). An ill-timed but undeniable attraction flares between the two Pantera, but if they give in to their desires, it could have deadly consequences.

I love this series, but then again, I must be a masochist, because this book puts you through the ringer. Both Ms. Ivy and Ms. Wright have perfected the formula for lulling the reader into a false sense of HEA and then beating them over the head with uncertainty. I hereby dub these authors as the Queens of Cliffhangers.

They thought she was dead. Bayon mourned in secret. The one fema

They thought she was dead. Bayon mourned in secret. The one female he always wanted, can he get her to accept him as her mate now that she has returned?

Although I enjoyed this story it was a bit hard to get into at first. I struggled with the whole she's not really dead part. By then end I was cheering them all on and hoping for the HEA that these two had been denied.

Jean-Baptiste. With the decay of the Wildlands, much more has been happening than originally thought. More Pantera our suffering. Can Jean-Baptiste find a way to control his cat before it's too late? Can he bring back the one person that may be able to help Ash? Can he resist the "suit" sent with him?

What can I say about Jean-Baptiste? I absolutely LOVED this story. The angst between him and his female kept me hooked from the first word.

This series is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance. These shifters are HAWT!

GROWL and PURRRRRRRR:  BAYOU HEAT (Bayon and Jean/Baptiste) pick

GROWL and PURRRRRRRR:  BAYOU HEAT (Bayon and Jean/Baptiste) picks up immediately following the events of the previous storyline. The Pantera are a puma-shifting, Wildlands living group of inhabitants who have been cursed with infertility with the possibility of extinction. But not that Raphael’s human mate is expecting the first cub in over fifty years, everything goes from bad to worse, when it appears black magic is being used against the Panthera to prevent the continuation of the species.
BAYON is the third storyline in the Bayou Heat series. Bayon is a Hunter. On the search for the source of black magic affecting Ashe and her unborn child, he will soon discover that the woman he long thought was missing and dead, has been held captive for nearly twenty five years. Freeing his would be mate reveals plenty of information especially when she reveals that the people who had set her up were two of their very own shifters.
JEAN-BAPTISTE is the fourth storyline and a little more complicated. Jean-Baptiste is having difficulty controlling his cat so he resorts to getting inked with specially infused ink that keeps his baser instincts at bay. But when he is sent on assignment to retrieve a voodoun priestess, he is beyond words when a Suit is sent along for the ride-Genevieve Burel-a top negotiator in the arts of persuasion. Only this time, the only one needing persuading is Genevieve herself when Jean-Baptiste’s cat claims to have found its mate
BAYOU HEAT –Bayon and Jean-Baptiste is another welcome addition to the continuing saga of the Pantera shifters in the Wildlands of Louisiana. The sexual chemistry in each of the storylines will make you growl and purr like the cat we all want to be. Laura Wright and Alexandra Ivy bring together a secretive species that is trying to stave off extinction at the hands of curse brought about by sibling rivalry taken to the extreme.

    A great continuation...

but I hate short stories! I want more in-depth and more detailed stories without abrupt endings leading to the next one...and that is why I give these 4 stars instead of 5 stars!

Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright bring you even deeper into their Puma Shifter world with the next installment of Bayou Heat.

    Fantastic!

I absolutely love this series. The fight the Pantera faces to find out who and what is destroying their magic and race. I love how each story brings together 2 mates. The first here is Bayon/Keira and how they find each other but also how they participate in the fight. The second book you have Jean-Baptiste/Keira and how they come to realize the fight is one they have to work together to even begin to overcome. The stories are hot and exciting. The story of the Pantera is one that keeps the reader wanting more. Just wish didn't have to wait so long between books. But thats just a desire to see how it will all play out in the end. The authors do a great job keeping the reader engaged in the story. Highly recommend!
