    Interesting but biased

Well written but biased and full of stereotypes, the author walks the reader through her opinion of what a M/s D/s relationship is/should be. She largly, with some notable exceptions, extends her opinions to all D/s relationships. This is an excellent second book for the newbie but as a first book it could lead the novice to think that BDSM tends to be confined to certain subcutural rules. For several topics the author writes that BDSM is uniquely defined by the partners involved but then proceeds to define the topic. For the experienced BDSM devotee this book may be a reaffirmation of the activities they enjoy. All in all a good read...good, but not great.
