    A helpful and positive resource

I was interviewed for this book as a lung cancer survivor. It is an honest and imformative book for those diagnosed with lung cancer. It is a positive approach to a most dreadful cancer. I really love the personal comments and photos of patients. I wish it had been available when I was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago.

    Excellent Resource and Must Read

This book is an excellent resource for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer and for all of those in their support system. It explains everything clearly from the beginnings of the cancer through all the treatment options to survivor issues. It is given as part of our educational resources to all the newly diagnosed patients in our hospital and physician clinics.

    From a Healthcare Professional

As a Breast Health Care Provider, I highly reccomend this book. This book is a great resource for educating women with a breast cancer diagnosis. It is helpfull in explaining surgical procedures and breast cancer treatments. It is a useful resource for women faced with making treatment decisions. The pictures help to explain how the various tretments work. This book gives all of the important infomation that women need to know about treatments without being overwhelming. I also like how this book touches on life after cancer and caregiver support. The DVD is great along with the tear out pages with various questions that can be brought to all of the members of a woman's health care team. Every women diagnosed with breast cancer should receive a copy of this book!

    More understanding

I got this book to give to a dear friend with breast cancer. I found myself so caught up in reading it first! Unfortunately, we will all be affected at some point, one way or the other, with breast cancer....whether we are the patient or someone close to the patient. This book is extremely informative. It answered so many questions for me that I was too embarrased to ask. My friend and I cried when I gave the book to her. I told her how much I learned from it, and how much I believed she was going to be an amazing survivor.

Information and Comfort: from a voice that has been there first-hand

This book provided the information I needed along with a sense of comfort. Hearing about other people's experiences, and the advice they had to give was very soothing. It was also an asset, I think, that the author is an individual who has personally gone through this ordeal, and is a doctor! Who better to write a Breast Cancer Treatment book? The DVD was wonderful, and really helped convey the information.
