This book changed my life. I read it and felt as if I was on the verge of solving the mystery of life. Like some obscure mathematical theory that makes perfect sense when applied, this book tells you everything that instinctively you feel as though you've always known, but were too blind to see. This book was and is the catalyst for my spiritual awakening.

This book is by far in my top 5. If you are on your path this book will definitely help you enter into your next stage. I didn't even search for this book. It just fell into my lap one day. That's the way it works. He includes the beauty and essence of the teachings of Jesus as well as Buddha. The words and drawings are very piercing and full of symbolism. He also includes at the end a list of many books that will be useful to read. I recommend this book to everyone with Open ears.

This is one of those books that will come to you at the exact time that you need it. The words and pictures are stirring. It is a work that must be ingested without judgement and accepted as pure beauty and soulfullness. Baba Ram Das has brought illumination to the world in ways only a fortunate few have yet realized. Love.

First read this book in the '70s, again a decade later. The more one matures, the more one comprehends the message. Three years ago, my son borrowed it and it was never returned. Now, with terminal cancer, I find the need of this book once more. My son can keep the old copy, it will do wonders for him, I'm definitely purchasing another for myself. A book for inner peace.

Although the social cultural context in which it was written may make it appear a bit dated, the wisdom comes through crisply. After having lost my original copy years decades ago, I think I enjoyed reading it as much as I did the first time I came across it.

If you really have an open mind on spirituality, you will get wonderful insights out of this book. The open minded person will also find new insights about the Western Religions in the books An Encounter With A Prophet and Way of a Peaceful Warrior.

Ram Dass takes you on a journey into human consciousness until you merge with Spirit. He reminds us that all life revolves around this dance between human consciousness and the Bliss of Divine Union. As one lets go of all their roles and attachments, we are free to be in the present moment where self-centered awareness enters into life-centered awareness. Thanks, Ram Dass, for all you have and continue share on the nature of our most authentic self - spirit.

I had a copy of this book in the early 70's. One day I loaned it to a friend and never saw it again. Occasionally throughout the years this writing would come to mind and I would talk with a friend about it. I recently made a new friend who during one of our initial conversations told me about a tape she has by Ram Dass talking about his beginning days of Yoga and meditation and I remembered this book. She said she knew about it. It is time for me to get another copy.

Though no one can be satisfied by this book more than the writer himself, I think if you open your heart it will touch you in a most beautiful way. I highly respect this book and the man that shared it with us all.
