Meet the Author

Judy was born and raised on a farm on the prairies of North Dakota. An only child, she spent most of her days with imaginary people--either those she read about or those she made up in her head. Judy's most ambitious conjuring did not succeed, however. She kept a clean stall with hay and oats for the horse she imagined would come, but unfortunately, it never did. However, as an adult, she managed to make that dream come true and raised foundation quarter horses and buffalo for some years. A voracious reader, Judy learned to read with comic books, anything from Little Lulu and Superman to the Rawhide Kid. She sold her first story for $10 to a farm magazine. She still has the $10.

She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, with a major in English and education and a minor in religion. At the time, Judy was simply studying what interested her, but she now realizes that she was educating herself for her future career as an inspirational romance writer.

Judy wanted to write for Harlequin even in high school but it wasn't until her youngest child learned to say "no" that she realized she'd better consider a second career to fall back on when mothering was done. Her first book was written with her little girl on her lap. Judy would type a few words and say, "Now, Jennifer," at which time her daughter would hit the space bar before Judy continued typing. It wasn't the fastest way to work, but it offered a lot of mother-daughter time together. An over-achiever, Judy has written over 60 books for various publishers. The mother of two and step-mother of three, she now has lots of family to enjoy.

In 2001, Judy went back to school and became a certified professional life coach. She is currently working on her master's in human development in the areas of writing, coaching and spirituality and writing inspirational chick lit which, she says, is the most fun she's ever had writing.

    great ¿Love Inspired¿ romance

Twenty-nine years old Samantha Smith has made a living out of her obsession for neatness. She is the queen of clutter busters and an anathema to the chaotic messes many people possess because for whatever reason they never toss or give away anything. Carver Advertising executive Ethan Carver hires Sam to organize his files before his new partner arrives next week. His friend Jared Hamilton tells him he is nuts to employ an organizer. However, Sam successfully completes the mission on time. --- Jared and his partner his sister Molly are opposites as he is organized and she is clutter. When she misplaces key business papers, he heeds Ethan¿s advice and hires Sam to clean up the ¿poop¿. As Sam works on putting in order Molly¿s mess, she and Jared fall in love though he wonders how someone so efficiently organized could turn his ordered life into chaos. --- BE MY NEAT-HEART is a great ¿Love Inspired¿ romance that amusingly yet poignantly focuses on the realistic issue of cluttering in and out of the office (trust me I understand Molly first hand). The lead pair is a terrific couple as he cannot comprehend why intelligent people need her consulting services and she wonders if she has found her clutter-free soulmate, but worries he will flee in terror once he meets her cat, dog, and sibling as pandemonium is their forte. Readers will appreciate this fine inspirational tale and look forward to Judy Baer¿s offbeat but welcome next story starring a woman who wonders whether you have hugged your iguana lately. --- Harriet Klausner

    I love this book...

Every time I read this book, I find I like it even more. Sammi has my dream job... I love her crazy pets, her eccentric friends, and the funny situations she ends up in. Jared has the whole Mr. Darcy vibe going on. You hate him at first, until you get to know him better and you can't help but like the guy. I really like this author. Her books are so funny her characters are really quirky, and the author always has a godly message woven into the story. I love that.

    Suspenseful!

I the begining the author makes you hate the leading guy and then slowly you start to fall in love with him. It kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Even though I kinda figured it out.
