The News Guard - Jessica Ross
“Barton is just like Dave Barry ...on the Oregon coast.”

The News Guard - Sheldon McArthur
This is the best beach book of the year and maybe the best comedic thriller of the year.
Move over Carl Hiassen, Tim Dorsey, Steve Berry and all the other Florida humor satire writers. A new voice and a very accomplished one I predict will be around for a long time, Howe does for the Oregon Coast what Hiaasen and the others have done for Florida.
I could not stop laughing wile I read this book and never wanted it to end, but as all books must it did and with a bang.

Meet the Author

Barton Grover Howe is an award-winning writer, humor columnist, stand-up comedian and performer who has spends his days finding the humor in life or making it up—sometimes both. When he’s not writing, or joking, he teaches high school, which inspires some of his best jokes. He lives in a small town on the Oregon coast within shouting distance of Surfland with his incredibly patient wife and exasperatingly adorable daughter. For more information about his writing, go to www.bartongroverhowe.com.

"Mmmmmmmh she growled to herself. Her pigtails waged around as she shook her head with pleasure. "U bet it is!" She practically howled. She felt her juices working up...turning on...dripping down and into the bed.

Barton Grove Howe is at the top of my reading list with Carl Hiiason and Tim Dorsey when i need to laugh. Beach Slapped is as good as it gets when it comes to humor. If you need a laugh to lighten your day i highly recommend this and any book by Howe.
