Library Journal
Mann (newsletter editor, Bead Soc. of Great Britain) presents a useful and distinctive handbook of currently available beads made of metal, wood, and plastic as well as of the more usual glass, stone, and clay. Entries for each bead include name, description, suggested use, relative cost, and country of origin and are accompanied by color photos. A handy size and spiral binding make Mann's accessible book ideal for quick reference. As the world of beads becomes more varied and bewildering, this resource will prove crucial for public library patrons. Highly recommended. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

    Beautifully Bound

Happily surprised when receiving this book in the mail. I love how this book is bound. It has spirals where you can leave the page open to a certain spot and it won't shut on you where you lose your spot. Beautiful photos and illustrations. It's not huge so it will be easy to carry with me wherever I go but it packs a nice amount of photos and information. Easy to find beads, gems, etc. just by looking in the back as it is laid out alphabetically. Nice! Great book for the price
