Sisters Ann Mitchell and Karen Mitchell started their mixed media jewelry business, AnKara Designs, in 1991, based in Altadena, CA. Together, the Mitchell sisters authored the book Liquid Polymer Clay: Fabulous New Techniques for Making Jewelry and Home Accents (Krause Publications).
