This new, beautiful book by Lori Anderson approaches design in a truly practical way while it also pushes reader's outside of their box. Her basic suggestion? Get ahold of something you don't generally use and then augment with your existing craft stash. Laid out in "recipes" which each teach a lesson in design, this is a delightful book for beginning beaders and eye candy for advanced beadworkers.

I loved seeing a bowl of beads and findings turned into beautiful finished pieces. As I read through the ingredients I formed pictures in my mind of what the finished pieces might look like and was delighted to find that, not only did the pieces not look as I had imagined, they far exceeded any thing I had envisioned. It was a great lesson in being open to the many and varied possibilities of a few seemingly disparate jewelry components. Truly an inspiration.
