I have made several of the pieces in the book. The instructions are easy to follow and nice graphics. The pieces lay beautifully. I have had some experience with chain maille. Have taken classes with Cindy at local OC locations. If you get the opportunity to do so, you will enjoy. Otherwise the book is all you need. Pam
This book was full of specific instructions, visual direction and each project gave a specific list of materials and quantities needed. At the front was a useful break down of various types of materials, sizes and benefits to them.
Some nice designs but when the author states the larger the larger the gauge measurement, the thicker the wire, I had a few concerns! It is exactly the opposite, the larger the gauge number, the THINNER the wire. Despite this major error, there are some nice ideas. As to wire needs for the projects, some are provided in size of wire, some are provided in gauge size, so the jeweler would need to know how to measure the thickness of the correct wire to use. Still a nice book and would recommend with the caveat user brush up on wire.
