Overview

A book for older readers who still enjoy pictures with a story. This is a positively uplifting and funny true tale about the ups and downs of being the girl who's owned by a Beagle named Scott, one of the most lively and mischievous dogs on earth. Scott's mission in life is to sniff everything in sight and out of sight in search of food, and things to eat that do not qualify as food, new human friends, and new doggy pals. His need to get up close and personal with everyone and everything he smells causes Sophie and her family so much trouble, but this dog's zany antics will make you laugh out loud, and may even make you think twice about getting a puppy. An entertaining, adventurous book with colorful photos of Sophie and her crazy Beagle.

Great for readers aged 6 to 12, but meant for all ages.

Displays best on Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Ipad, Samsung Galaxy and other color reading devices, but looks good on basic ereaders, too. Also read Sophie's first picture Nookbook that's great for toddlers and up called "A New Pet For Sophie."

Meet the Author

"Hi, it's Sophie! Thanks for buying my books, and if you can, please write a review on this site so I know what you think of my stories. If you're allowed to have a Twitter account, follow me at https://twitter.com/SophiaTroy"

Sophie and Clarice Troy are mother and daughter writers, and this is their second book. Earlier in 2012, the pair published their first book called "A New Pet For Sophie." That book has been well received by ereader fans who enjoy viewing it on Tablet style reading devices, and on eink readers. It's a full color picture book with rhyming words, available on this site.

Sophie has been writing since the ripe young age of 6 years old. Since then, she's written many stories and plans to publish them all. Sophie is known for always having a smile on her face and a positive attitude that uplifts others. She's a runner, a top student, an animal lover, and she stands up to bullies, even when they're bullying someone else. When she's not writing or socializing with her friends and cousins, she loves to paint, dance, and watch alien and vampire shows with Scott, who can always be found on Sophie's lap.

Clarice is married to Sophie's wonderful dad, a career UPSer who makes it possible for her to work from home writing, editing, publishing, and raising an adventurous kid, a rambunctious dog, a fickle cat, and a plump, charming hamster named Happy.

Clarice earned a BA in English from UCLA. In addition to writing stories, she also edits and publishes ebooks for other writers. The family cat, Princess Fiona Tubbingtons, can always be found nearby, giving the work her stamp of approval.

I laughed at Scott. The story is fun and tells what beagles are

I laughed at Scott. The story is fun and tells what beagles are like. This little dog thinks he's big and wants to be in charge of Sophie. Good writing and pictures.
