What better way for Bear to say thanks, than to have a big dinner with all his friends! Bear has come up with the perfect way to say thanks—a nice big dinner! When Bear decides to throw a feast, his friends show up one by one with different platters of delicious food to share. There's just one problem: Bear's cupboards are bare! What is he to do?
"Wilson does it again in this new installment about Bear and his forest friends.... The illustrations are as detailed as ever, and children will want to reach out and hug Bear because he is so fluffy and welcoming. The rhymes are pleasing to the ear and move the story along. This is a great choice to share in storytime when discussing gratitude, sharing, or thanks."—School Library Journal

Written in rhyming prose, Bear Says Thanks is a delightful read out loud book for the holiday season. Bear is worried that he has nothing to share with his friends, but then he learns that being a friend is about just being yourself and giving whatever you have to offer.
I am a big fan of Karma Wilson's writing. Her prose and rhyming are flawless, making the book fun and easy to read. Jane Chapman's illustrations are warm and charming. She creates a beautiful atmosphere that makes me want to turn into a furry little critter so that I can join in the feast.

Karma Wilson did it again! All will love this one too! The illustrations are beautiful. In time for Thanksgiving and to join the rest of Bear's books on Great Grandmother's shelf and more story hours! Thanks to Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.
