Children's LiteratureBrother Bear is a 2003 Disney movie. Along with it, Random House has launched a bevy of books. Bear With Me is an early reader, Step 2. This level is targeted to kids who can recognize familiar word and sound out new works with help. The premise is that Kerai, a boy, is changed into a bear. The book offers no explanation. He doesn't really know how to survive as bear until he meets Koola a bear cub. He finally catches a fish and is welcomed into the family of bears. It isn't much of a story and the art is typical movie animation stills. For those who enjoyed the movie, this early reader may hold some appeal. 2003, Disney/Random House, Ages 4 to 7.
