Overview

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lynn Red comes a steamy, seductive, hilarious and delicious alpha werebear romance.

Curvy, witty, carrot-topped Violet Larue is a fox shifter with a goal – she NEEDS to find herself a mate before she goes absolutely nuts.

After a string of bad relationships that left her heartbroken, and a bunch of dates that were more pie-in-the-face than swept-off-her-feet, Violet is just about ready to throw in the towel. She wants someone to chase her, to possess her, to make her his mate.

Somehow convinced to attend the only cage fight she’s ever seen, Violet has no idea that she’s about to lay eyes on just the bear for her.

Muscled, inked-up and one of the most dangerous fighters in the world, “Crag” Morgan is the bear of Violet’s dreams. With a dark past and an even darker present, love is nowhere near the top of Crag’s to-do list... until he’s looking around the crowd and catches a glimpse of a redhead with eyes that make his heart skip a beat.

He is everything she ever wanted. A self-assured, massively powerful alpha with a waist just perfect for wrapping her legs around? Uh, yes please! But little does Violet know that in the split second Crag spied her in the audience, she stole his heart. The bad boy fighter decided then and there to do whatever it takes to claim her... forever.

Note: THE JAMESBURG SHIFTERS is a series of standalone novels each featuring a unique hero and heroine and a satisfying HEA ending. No cliffhangers here! Books can be enjoyed in any order you like!

I love shifters and bears may have just become my favourite as I loved Crag in this wonderful new book by
Lynn Red, the story and characters took you into another place where shifters and magic are real and among us.
Crag is the kind of bear that I wish I'd meet some day, although a cage fighter that is not who he is, and he has
a wonderfully gentle heart and soul that comes out as soon as he sets eyes on Violet.
Violet has had her own problems, especially with men, but she does love bears and now she has meet a
wonderful one, but don't worry she is not giving in too easily and is going to make him chase her, which will
    lead to some interesting encounters.
The secondary characters are all so alive, you really feel like you are part of the Jamesburg community,
and I hope that there are many more books to come in the series as there are some wonderful people
you meet along the way, starting with Jamie the werebat I can't wait to hear her story, I have to wonder what
happens with Henry and Eustace, and Lex  too.
If you love shifter romances then you will love this new addition to the pack.

I was given this book by author  Lynn Red for an honest review. This is book 2 of the Jamesburg Shifter series by the author.

Violet is a were-fox who is always chasing men and getting her heart broken. Crag is a were-bear and an underground boxer/fighter with a dark past. Fate pulls them together and they are both just looking for a one night stand but fate has other plans for them and with interference from others they find love.

I loved reading this book because of Crag and Violet. 2 totally different people that just seem to mesh together to make a perfect couple. I have nothing bad to say about this book. The flow of the story line was great, and so were the characters from start to finish.

Were-bear, were-fox, werewolf, a witch and a were-croc all in this paranormal romance book. You will laugh, cry and get mad but you will still love this book.

Any shifter paranormal romance reader  would love to get their hands on this book  and I must say this book has sexual content so it is more for the mature reader.

    Original, Exciting and Entertaining
This was a very well written story that was extremely enjoyable to read.  Some very original plots in this book with entertaining
Characters.  Even though this is the second book to a series it’s a self contained book that you can enjoy reading without
having to read the first one.  But the first one is fun to read as well.   Jamesburg’s town got a lot more going on than meets
the eye.  Love the humor when you least expect it.  Great job to the author.
I was gifted a review copy by the author for my honest opinion. "

I received this book from the author for a fair and honest review. I won't go into telling you what the book is about, you can read that from the description above, but I will tell you how much I loved this book. I love shifters of any kind. Bears especially. There is a touch of everything in this book. Shifters, witches, seedy characters, humor, and sex you can use your imagination on. This is part of a series, however, it can be read as a stand alone. I will say though that once you read one of Lynn's books you will want to read more. Can't wait to see what comes next.

This book was so disappointing.  The "Alpha" characters talked like tough chicks in touch with their feelings.  It had some funny moments and light hearted, but it just had a "Twilight " feel to it.
I had to force myself to finish it, hoping it would get better.  This is not like Shelly Laurenston if that is what you are looking for.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review from the author.

This is my first introduction to the Jamesburg Shifters and I loved it. Ms. Red blended many of the things I love about a book together in such a way that she captured my attention from start to finish. So lets check those things off in case you love them too. First she gives us an intro to our main characters with a touch of humor. Then our hero and heroine meet passion and drama ignite. A backdrop of good versus evil. All woven well, so well that you forget who you are and become an integral part of the book.

And that my friends is one skilled author. Not sure whether to believe me or not then read a sample of the book I dare you. As for me I will continue to watch this author succeed and keep on reading from one of the best authors out there.

I had such a fun time reading this book. Bearing it all is the second book of the Jamesburg Shifters and it does not fail to entertain the reader. The cast of characters continues on from the first book but we get to meet some new faces with the introduction of Crag and Violet. Crag is a werebear fighting machine. Violet is the little fox shifter who heart he wants to catch. The visuals the author is able to create through her words gives the reader a chance to see what she sees as she is writing. We get the passion of the characters and we get to chuckle right along with the author when we envision a little fox and big old bear playing in the woods. If you enjoyed the first book, you will love Bearing it all. I for one cannot wait to see who Lynn Red is going to introduce us to in her next Jamesburg Shifters book.

Yummy big bear shifter meets lively little fox shifter and Viole

Yummy big bear shifter meets lively little fox shifter and Violet is in for the surprise of her life when she gets dragged to the cage fights. Come to think of it, Crag is in for a shock too. Neither of them were looking for their mate, but guess what? That is when you meet them.

I haven't read about fighters before so I was looking forward to reading this and as per usual with a Lynn Red story, this book fully lived up to my expectations. I love the way Lynn writes her characters. You get to see what they are like through actions, not just 'telling'.

This is the second in the Jamesburg series, but it works as a stand alone too with NO cliff hanger. That being said, I believe you will enjoy this book more if you read the first one first as some of the characters from that book are in this one. I liked that a lot BTW. It's always good to catch up with old friends. I enjoyed this story even more than the first one and I can't wait to see what Lynn has up her sleeve for the next book.

The plot line is very original and some of the ideas in this story surprised me a lot. Lynn has such a good imagination and her world building is very detailed in that you get to know a lot of the secondary characters as well as their town. It all seems like you could just go visit and get to meet these people.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys shape-shifter books. I had a blast reading it. One last thing, I bought the first book of the series but was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

181 pages. I bought this because it had good review and i had never read anything by this author. It wasn't very good. I thought it was going to be a funny and quirky book like Celia Kyle or Eve Langlais shifter romances. It had bat, turtle, croc, bear, fox shifters and witches, witch doctor, zombie but it wasn't funny. I will not buy any more books by this author.

    Disappointing

I found this book very disappointing. I found the female character's personality traits irritating instead of endearing as I believe they were supposed to be. I also found the male character lacking strength of will and character throughout much of the book because he just went along with the fight ring that he didn't want to be with.

I love it when a strong alpha male can show his softer, caring side!!!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review, which I am so happy to do. Awesome book. A strong alpha and a strong female combine for a great read. I do like the alpha male, but it is also great to see the protective, loving aspect of an alpha. I love reading the shifter novels and yours are definitely among my very favorites! I can't wait to read the next one.

    An Absolute must read!

Bearing It All is a fabulous story!

It's endearing and laugh out loud funny.
The character's passion and joy will draw you in immediately.
Violet is tired of chasing after unsuccessful relationships, that is until Crag rolls into town. He's a cage fighter traveling from town to town fighting to pay back a debt. When Crag meets Violet he sees what she really wants and has promised to chase her until he, and she knows, that he has caught her. And once Crag began his chase no obstacle were going to stand in his way.
They both want the same thing, to love and care about someone special who loves and cares for them in return.

Although this is the second book in the series it can definitely be read as a stand alone. The characters are well developed and a joy to get to know. Tina Marie

    Delightfully Entertaining!

A copy of Bearing It All was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Violet is a slightly nervous fox with a habit of falling fast and hard for bears; but each time she does it ends up breaking her heart. She has decided to protect her heart this time around and look for steamy sex instead, without emotional attachment.

Crag is a cage fighting werebear focused on avenging his brother's death at any cost. The minute he lays eyes on Violet's luscious curves his priorities shift; suddenly he longs for the adorable redheaded fox to see beyond the fighter he's always been.

The mysterious disappearances of young women, both human and shifters, has Jamesburg on edge. The traveling fighters are under surveillance and Crag's reptilian manager is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his prize fighter in the ring.

A fast paced adventure full of sexy shifters, romance and mystery, Bearing It All is the second novel in The Jamesburg Shifters series. Each story is a full length, stand alone novel that can be read in any order. Complete from start to finish with no cliffhanger endings, I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series if possible because some characters do reoccur, but it is not necessary. A well written paranormal romance that is sure to delight fans of bears, wolves, foxes, hyenas, hedgehogs and squirrels, this menagerie of shifters is pure entertainment from start to finish!
