Overview

Clea Kellen is the owner of Jamesburg's most popular daycare. And on top of that, she’s a lithe, witty, pointy-eared lynx shifter whose biological clock is tick-tick-ticking away.

She's part-time mama to a gaggle of bouncing shifter babies... but a mate? For Clea? Who has the time! A family? Just a dream. That is, until she catches a glimpse of a golden bear with pale brown eyes, watching her in the distance, and all at once, her stomach gets tied up in the best kind of knot.

Bear-shifting, rogue biker Orion Samuelsson is on the run and nursing more than a little bottled up rage. For years, he’s been haunted by the cruel, brutal leader of his old club, the Dirty Devils. Love? Happiness? All distant fantasies. That is, until he lays eyes on a gold and black lynx-shifter dashing through a river.

On a daycare camping trip, Clea’s whole world – in the form of a giant fir tree – comes crashing down. She dives to cover one of her cubs, sure she’s done for. When she finally opens her eyes, she can’t believe the massive, golden bear standing in only feet away with fire in his eyes and a tree on his back.

As he stares into Clea’s soul, straining under the fallen fir, Orion’s buried desire for a mate, and a family to call his own, burns deep in his heart. Right then, he knows he’s found her. He knows he won’t rest until she’s his, until he possesses her, takes her for his mate... forever.

But, with Orion on the run from his former gang, and Clea’s brain telling her to put on the brakes while her heart is screaming for her to hit the gas, will these two fated mates give in to love... and to each other?

    Anything is possible in Jamesburg
Lynn Red did another fantastic job of a wonderful story in the town of Jamesburg where it seems anything is possible.  A crazy
Beaver with attack Squirrels and a Bear MC helping them to destroy the town.  This book may be part of a series but it’s a
self-contained book.  Reading the other books do enhance the understanding of the characters and about the town but not
needed to enjoy this book.  I love the reanimated shifters (Zombies) in this story. The only “Zombies” I will ever admit to liking.
Well written, entertaining and very enjoyable to read.  Great love story and high octane sex in the end.  Love a happy ending
and the very originality of the series.  I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am giving an honest review of this book by author Lynn Red. This is another book in the Jamesburg Shifter series by the author.

Clea Kellen is a lynx and a day care provider for the residents in Jamesburg. Orion Samuelsson is a huge bear and an enforcer for his dads motorcycle club and is on the run from his dad. Neither 1 was looking for a mate but once they met things just would not be the same for either of them.

This is a great addition to the Jamesburg shifter series. Who would think to pair a bear and a lynx together for true love? The author Lynn Red would plus throw in a disgruntle beaver and a bunch of squirrels and 2 zombies and you have a great story. Lynn Red has done it again with this book.

Because of sexual situations this book is for mature paranormal romance book readers. If you like the shifter books then this is a book you will want to get your hands on.

    Breath-taking Hillarity!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever had a book that you took everywhere? Nose buried into the pages as you walk about the house aimlessly while doing different chores, not wanting to set it aside for a second? Yeah, this is one of those books. Much like the rest of Lynn Red’s books! Each one is unique and grabs your attention from the first words to the last, ensnaring you into its folds and never wanting to let go until you sigh softly at the ending.

I received this as an ARC and man am I glad! I would have bought it as well, because it’s one of those great reads that you’ll be reading over and over and over again! Even if Lynn were to stop writing today, her books would be among my favorite. From Atlas all the way to Clea and Orion, each member of the Jamesburg shifter town is one that holds a special place in my heart. Her writing is unique and refreshing, bringing about seriousness and comedy in a great blending that has you sniffling at points and choking back on laughter!

I’m going to wait patiently for the next in the series, and hope that you will join me as we discover the crafty, hilarious, and wonderful worlds together!

    Review Courtesy of April Hollingworth

This is the fourth book in The Jamesburg Shifter series, and it is brilliant. Each book can be read as a standalone, as they are individual books in this wonderful series. Written with humor this is a fantastic book. A must read for anyone who loves books on shifter s.

    Opening Scene:

“Isn’t that the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?”

    The Review:

Lynx-shifter Clea owns and runs the day care center for the local shifters. A job she finds fulfilling and satisfying, yet she wishes that she had a baby of her own to love. She also craves to find her one true mate, who will love her and who she in return can love. But past hurts are far from healed, and the idea of letting someone in, is too painful.
Bear-shifter, biker rogue Orion, has deserted the Dirty Devils Biker Gang. A gang he was born into and hates with a vengeance. As their enforcer he tried to protect those who were innocent, but after years of torment from the cruel leader of the Dirty Devils he’s had enough. Love and happiness might not be in his destiny, but freedom is.
When a daycare camping trip changes Clea’s life, in the form of a fir tree crashing down; she’s unexpectedly rescued by the gorgeous Bear-shifter Orion. Feelings of destiny and happiness wrap around them. Orion is determined to claim Clea as his mate for eternity, but first he must put an end to his old gang, before they come after him and Clea. But Clea’s past hurts still haunt her, and the fear of being hurt again is unbearable. Will Clea and Orion find the love they deserve with each other, or will their pasts drive them apart forever?

    Notable Scene:

With every ounce of strength I had, I charged toward the panicking bear cub. I dove, pushing her to the ground and roughly covering her. The sandbar on the middle of the river had a little give to it, but not enough to keep me safe. I gritted my teeth, waiting for the impact.
At least she’ll be safe, I told myself.
I heard Dean shout and then I heard Malia scream. Leena, bless her heart, yelled something I couldn’t understand, and underneath me, Millie wept.
The tree, it was coming. I heard the wind rushing through the needles. I felt the blast of air.
A branch scraped my back. It was about to pin me down to this sandbar, I just knew it. My thick muscle would keep Millie safe, but me? Not a chance.
I closed my eyes, and held them tightly shut.
The pain I expected never came.
Instead, I heard a grunt. I heard a roar, and then I heard the tree crackle and split. I lifted my head to see what in the world had just saved my life.
    Not what, I realized. Who.
“You?” I asked in the way you do when you’re staring at death and not entirely sure why you aren’t dead. “Is that… is that really you?”
    “Might… want to move…” the massive, muscled-up half-bear groaned. “Like… soon.”
Immediately, I thought back to my feeling that fate was a stupid thing to wait on.
Yeah. This wasn’t the first time I was dead wrong.

This shifter romance is a wacky, light-hearted and passionate romp through the town of Jamesburg.  Clea is has emotional scars from her past and Orion is on the run and nursing more than a little bottled up rage. Both yearn for more but a rabid beaver and psyco biker threatens what the two have found in each other.
This fast paced plot keeps readers on their toes with suspense, drama, humor and romance.  The author describes the story with vivid details that capture the imagination and the endless drama draws the reader deeper into the story.  The eccentric and charismatic characters grab the reader’s attention and invite them to visit their unconventional town. Suspense and drama spice up the story with bad guys that are a little out there, one being a hateful and mean bear and the other an obsessed beaver who wants to save the forest by destroying the town.
The mating between Clea and Orion is in no way assured as Clea’s not sure to trust in Orion and Orion wants to keep Clea out of his hateful father’s sights. But when they do get together sparks fly and passions ignite with some red hot and steamy sex scenes.  Orion is a walking contradiction, he’s a fighter and killer when he has to be but he’s really a gentle giant of a bear and Clea is kinda of mousey but has a core of steal and when it comes to rescuing her mate, well you better not stand in this lynx’s way.
The author keeps the reader on their toes with a story that has lots of fun and exciting scenes that get the adrenaline pumping and some surprises that the reader doesn’t see coming. Once again, a visit to Jamesburg is just what this reader needed to brighten up her day and provide some fun entertainment and steamy passion.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!
***Okay I did volunteer to receive the ebook for an honest review, but while reading it I had to buy it for myself so I did :)

The cover is definitely yummy, but I wanted to see the tattoos.  I also think the bear should look more like described by the lovely Lynn, but that’s just my thinking :)

This is another awesome and action packed Jamesburg shifter book.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading :)  Lynn always has humor mixed into her books which I love.  I love when an author can make me tear up for a character’s pain or laugh out loud.  It is always great when you can connect enough with the story and characters to share their emotions.

This story with Clea and Orion was a great story.  Clea is a sweet heart when taking care of all the cubs, but will do anything to protect them and the ones she loves.  I love that she is vulnerable but strong all at the same time.  Orion is fierce but soft when it comes to Clea which I find endearing.  I particularly loved the lake scene, but you definitely need to read it because I don’t want to ruin it for you.  Atlas also has a happy ending, but you will have to read to see what it is.

I have really enjoyed this series (even though I haven’t yet read book 1, which is silly because I own it…lol) I recommend this series to all my shifter lovin’ friends especially if you already love Lynn Red, and I especially recommend to my friends who hate cliffhangers because Lynn doesn’t write those either :)

She¿s done it again! ¿Bearly Breathing¿ is Lynn Red¿s newest boo

She’s done it again! ‘Bearly Breathing’ is Lynn Red’s newest book of the Jamestown Shifters series, and it is even better than I anticipated!
Clea and Orion are the MCs of this story, and they have both been hurt in the past. Only together can they hope to heal each other, but how will they find the time to do so while fending off a new menace to Jamestown? And how can they fight this new menace when no one else in the town seems to take it seriously?
Once again, Ms. Red has devoted great attention to building these characters to the point that they seem more like every day people than just characters on a page. And even with the steamy scenes (plenty of those – yay!), there is still the overall sense of community with all the characters – those introduced in this story as well as some from the previous books.
I received a copy of this book as a gift from the author in return for an honest review. I happily recommend this book (and the others from Ms. Lynn Red) to anyone who appreciates the paranormal romance genre.
Oh! And before I forget… Thank you Ms Red, for the gift you gave to Atlas! That absolutely made my day!

Jamesburg Shifters... Oh Boy!!! This is number 4 in the series and they just keep getting better. This is a wonderful story of a woman who has been hurt in the past learning to trust and love again and the very big warm bear/man who wont give up on her. I can't really give this story justice, it is such a good read and I did not want to put it down. If you like warm, funny, and HEA stories then this is the shifter story for you. All the stories in this series are stand alone but I would read them in order just to get to know the characters in order. Happy reading.
