After I started the book I realized that there were more. Went and read the previous bundle and then started this one. Excellent series and hope the next one is in the works. The Angel / Demon/ Knights of White story line is great reading and a bit different from other paranormal romances. Have read other works by the author and her story lines leave me waiting for her next book! I am a spelling/grammar freak and find her correct use of the language refreshing! Was this review helpful? The Knights Are Back!
I received this book for free from the author, in return for an honest review. I had read many of Lisa’s book and can say I have not been disappointed with any of them. This is a continuation of the Knights of White series. I totally enjoyed reading this story, and Lisa has a way of making the reader want to know her characters and find out what happens next.
Lucan had lost his human life from the bite of the demon known as the Darkland Beast. For over two hundred years he has taken on the duties to protect humans when the Archangel Rafael saved him by making him a member of the Knights of White. Over time it has become harder for him to fight the life of the beast inside him, until one mission to save the woman kidnapped by the leader of the underworld. He did the only thing he though was right, and traded his life for hers.
Kresley has been kidnapped for her firestarting abilities. The demon wants to use her and her abilities to take over the world. The only problem is she cannot control them and has hurt all the people that have meant something to her because of it. When Lucan rescued her as he traded his life for hers she was determined that one day she would rescue him. The day has come, with the help of her friend she can now control her fire, and after much training she is ready to find Lucan to repay him for giving up his life to save hers.
As Kresley tries to help Lucan he continues to push her away with all hope of protecting her. Kresley has decided she is willing to do anything to get Lucan away from Aiden, even if it means making a deal with him that will probably not end well. As she and Lucan spend time together, their feelings for one another grow. Was this all part of Aiden’s plan as he causes Lucan pain? Can he cause Lucan enough pain that Kresley will agree to risk everything to get him the one item only she can touch, that belongs to the werewolf leader that will let him control the world?
Lucan and Kresley are running out of time as they try to save human kind and destroy the demons before they are the ones destroyed. Can they keep that item out of the hands of the demons to stop them from taking over the world and destroying the Knights of White?
