American Cuisine at it's Best

I originally decided to buy this cookbook because of the Oprah sandwich and all that I heard about it. And then the other day I also saw another recipe from this book in the Washington Post. Oprah AND WA PO - pretty high recommendations in my opinion. Well, I did the O sandwich recipe and my family loved it - I mean loved it. Even my daughter who doesn't usually like chicken thought it was "awesome!".
Nikki Cole
This book is hilarious! I bought it for my fourteen-year-old-daughter to read. She kept giggling and told me to read it because it's funny. It is funny and I love Clancy! Love her! And, bonus at the end of the book - Margaux added some recipes. Very cool! I can't wait for the next book. I'm a fan of Margaux anyway, but now, I'm completely hooked.

A MUST to read if you feel like laughing!

This book is, like the opening preface says, hilarious! Lana is a wonderful character full of mischievousness, and her best friend Clancy is an absolute crack-up. I decided to look into this book because I loved the book cover. I had no idea I would end up laughing so much, and out loud! Do yourself a favor - read this book for a good time. This story is very refreshing. Very refreshing. Margaux Sky, I hope you author an entire series of Lana Cloud murder stories. I, for one, will read every single book.

A "world renowned" author should know the difference between a 'patsy' and a pansy. And that is just the tip of the iceberg of annoyances regarding this book. Lana has got to be one of the most annoying characters I've ever had the misfortune to read about. She is a hyper and immature 16 year old whose speech patterns just about drove me up the wall. And POOL HOPPING? The parents of these teenagers are all criminally negligent. Bottom line, save your money. There are many superior mystery books out there.

    Definitely recommend, especially to teens

A quick read, and enjoyable. My daughter, who has issues with reading a book unless it is very interesting, was practically glued to the book!

    Murder Mystery for YA Readers

High school teenager Lana Cloud and friend Clancy investigate the assumed murder of a neighbor by her husband, who was accused, tried, and released due to a hung jury. Good fun for the YA age group with an unexpected twist toward the end. Not so much fun perhaps for adults.

    All over the board.

It's a fun read. One commenter said "improbable". Definitely. But I think that's what the author intended. Goofy and fun. Certainly imaginative.

    Odd but fun

I really liked this book. It was kind of a roller coaster ride but it kept my interest throughout the book. Definitely different, though.
