Overview

Elizabeth experienced the extraordinary experience of losing her husband to cancer while housesitting. Without any friends or family, she found the starkness of her circumstances only amplified her mourning process.

True to Joseph Campbell's mythological tales, Elizabeth found herself going through the "Supreme Ordeal." Fortunately, she did not have to go through it completely alone. A mentor mysteriously appeared in her life who offered her a type of coaching called "The Seasons of Change" which utilizes "natures wisdom to navigate through life's inevitable ups and downs."

This book, for me, was terrible. I sympothize with this woman who is dealing with the loss of her husband. Having lost someone very dear to me, I couldn't bear to read past page 3.

Greiving is common to all but learning HOW to grieve is rarely taught when growing up. This short, easy to read book, provides an insightful, authentic, deeply loving process for the passage through mourning for a lost loved one. Regardless of age, this book is a gem to give to anyone who is mourning. And when one is expecting the loss of a loved one, put this book by the bedside for the time when it becomes the solace one thinks doesn't exist. I personally know the author. She lived every moment exactly as she wrote it. This is a beautiful "Oh so true" story and guide for all those on the journey through death and rebirth.
