"Darkness swept through my vision as my short lived life passed before my eyes. His face was the last thing I saw before I succumbed to my destiny. It's funny how life can change its direction in the blink of an eye. What had once brought me strength has now made me weak and it was no one's fault but my own. I did this and unfortunately he would now be the one to suffer for it. I could feel my heart breaking into a million pieces all over again and the feeling made me want to die."

At eighteen years old Bennett had finally realized what her feelings for Gray meant. Through all the loss and love that they had been through with each other nothing was going to tear them apart, except maybe time. She was willing to fight for her new found love of this boy she had always known. But forces beyond their control were willing to do whatever it took to do just that.

With Gray heading off to the police academy and her headed to college things were bound to change. Time apart, temptation, lies and loss would test the strength of the relationship they thought would outlast anything.

Five years later Bennett and Gray will be faced with a reality neither one of them ever thought possible. It's up to Gray to save Bennett from a force so strong it will test his strength, love and undying devotion he swore to her all those years ago.
They both learn that life isn't always fair and the things you desire most in life can come at a costly price.

Beautifully Broken describes the main character, Bennett, perfectly. She has suffered through the loss of her parents at a young age. She lives on her own, next door to her best friend Gray who comforts her, and takes care of her many nights, so that she doesn't feel alone or scared. As it sometimes happens with best friends, they explore deeper feelings than friendship for one another. This story creates a roller coaster of emotions. One moment you will be happy and excited for Bennett, then all of a sudden you are angry with her and want to talk some sense into the poor girl, and of course there are the times when you are crying and just want to give her a hug. At times, I had to put the book down just to recover emotionally and dry my eyes so that I could read further. There are aspects of the story that felt very real for me, almost as if they were written about someone close to me. There is adult language in this, and there is sexual content. It is not erotica in nature, but it is slightly descriptive. This was an amazing read and I would and will recommend it to my friends. I look forward to reading more by this author!

This was a train wreck. Gary loves her - but allows all this stuff to happen to her and doesn't help her? Seriously? And her best friend girl forever? While there for her doesn't go this distance with helping? Her parents die when she's 16 but she lives alone for two years? Say what! Bf is a senior in college but they meet in high school....so very very manu things wrong with this. It's not beautiful it's a train wreck

I really enjoyed the idea of this book, however, I felt it was in First Draft form. The story line was choppy and a little hard to follow. I wasn't sure how old the characters were and was confused when Bennett bumped into Raylon in High School and he turned out to be a Senior in College...whats the deal there? Overall its a great story line, I think it needs some editing and some character development.

I really liked this book. I read both straight through. A very emotional read. I hate it when people critique spelling errors and such. I think the author neeeds to know that there were some page breaks, while it didn't take away from story they should be fixed.
