Beautiful book for my 5yr old grand daughter. She loves Belle and Chip. Moreover, her love of books was enhanced many times over. I was unable to find this particular Disney story in any form, until, alas, B&N came through. Thank you so much.

Beauty and the Beast, Diane. Stortz. Illus. By Landoll. Landoll pr. 1994. Tr. $3.50. ISBN 1- 56987-208-2. LC number unavailable. Preschool-1 This book is about a young girl named Beauty who falls into hands of a Beast. During her time with the Beast, Beauty learns to love and respect the Beast. She begins to love many things about the Beast that no one else can seem to see within him. The beautiful girl sees beyond the ugliness of him. The Beast starts to understand that Beauty has taken a liking to him., so he takes the advantage and asks Beauty to marry him. Unfortunately Beauty¿s answer was no, but before she could change her mind, Beauty had to go home to her sick father and take care of him. Because Beauty stayed with her father to long the Beast was going to die. Will Beauty make it in time to save the Beast? The illustrations are very good, colorful, beautiful, and accurate. There are a few lessons that this book can teach. This story is a fairy tale classic that generations of children have enjoyed. This book also contains the best children¿s literature.
