But Kayla's conflicted. The man left her in the lurch for his L.A. gig; now he wants her back? Fool her once, shame on Matt, fool her twice…well, actually, this second chance feels like the real thing. But a fateful night is about to put that feeling to the ultimate test….

Beauty and the Best Man by Maureen Child. A great beginning! Man what a great beginning to the Lassiters series. I loved it. Had me smiling and laughing and eager for the next book ,good thing it came out the same day. I can't wait to read it. Fans of Maureen Child will love this one. I certainly did. The next book, THE BLACK SHEEP'S INHERITANCE by Maureen Child released the same day as this one. After reading this quick fun story I immediately got the next book and started it! A great read, fans of the Desire line, Maureen Child or great quick stories will want to add this one to their "buy" list today! Highly recommended. This was way too rushed. The characters were all too superficial. I am glad it was free. I hope the full stories are better but this does not make me want to dive in and find out. Sorry. :-(

Very nice short little read. I was a little confused as to why a wedding would last a month. Of course, consider the source. I have been married for 23 years and we married at the courthouse with no fanfare and loved every minute of the experience and our life together. That said, long drawn out, expensive weddings really do not suit me. Nevertheless, this was a very good quick read.

It is an ok book to read, but not long enough. You can easily read it in about one hour.
