## This was stupid. It was 23 pages. Come on, really? I liked the idea but it was over before it began. Yes, there are more books about this couple. But the author didn't make me care enough about these characters to proceed with this story. The only thing I liked was what the hero said as he was pleasuring himself.

liked the characters and story line. but it drive me crazy when an author releases a book (even a short story) and ends it abruptly, forcing you to buy the next one to know what happens. would have given more stars had it not been for that. I would likely have purchased the books that followed had the author not forced me too.

The characters were really fleshed out. The author did a great job creating a full story in about fortyfive pages and the sex was very hot. I highly recomend to anyone over eighteen.

This is a short, erotic, love story and I really liked it. I loved the whole plot of a battle-scarred soldier who falls in love with a beautiful woman who he thinks he is not worthy of. It is so Beauty and Beast and I loved Beauty and Beast. Erin walks in on Blake touching himself. Those scenes were pretty steamy. It broke my heart those scenes when Blake and Erin were intimate and Blake thought that he was too disgusting to look at. I loved how Erin tried to reassure him. The story just ended, but there is a sequel so I did not feel disappointed like I would have if this was a standalone. Did I skim? No story gets to the point very quickly. Did I feel connected to the story? Yes Pace of the story: Excellent. I was not bored. Positives: It is a short, hot, steamy love story. The author did a great job in the short amount of time making me feel that the characters had feelings for each other. Negatives: I would like more background information about Erin and Blake. I hope in the sequel we find out how Blake got scarred. What happened to him when he was serving in the war? I would love flashbacks, etc. Do I recommend? Yes Bottom line: I really liked and think it is a great start to a nice series. Can’t wait to read the sequel. I can’t believe I have not heard of this book/series before.

*Too short to be considered an actual story.. stopped abruptly... good characterization and skilled writing..  Would have made an excellent full book...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has the potential to be great if it were longer to let the story grow. Just when Erin and Blake's relationship begins it's over. Thank god it goes on in the nect book. I recommend this book to everyone. The sex is amazing.

It was easy to relate to and believe the characters. It's sad to think how cruel people can be without even taking the time to know what's in the person's insides.

This is only 20 pages! Not a book at all...not even a short story, unless its the shortest ever told!

Too short for anything but a 3 star. Not enough for a real story. Almost like the 1st 3 chapters of the real book. Good enough though im getting book 2

Very hot short story, with just enough sweetness to make it a good romance.

I just wish it was longer. But was a good read setting up the story for the following series.
