She has a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia, and lives in Paris.

This book helped me to realize that child-training is a journey, not a ten-step process. It also relieved me of my
guilt over using quality childcare to pursue my own interests and talents as well as creating quality "adult" time for
my husband and I after the kids go to bed. In other words, it changed my perspective of how I view my role as a
parent. Pamela reaffirms your right as a mother to have a life while continuing to enjoy a close
relationship with your children. It is a breath of fresh air in a time when most of the parenting books in the US are
about self-denial and quick-fixes, telling you you're a failure if the methods in their book don't work for you. This
book helps parents in very practical, specific ways to make everyone's life easier. And they work!

As a big fan of Druckerman's Bringing Up Bebe, I picked up her latest release the day it came out. Bebe Day by Day is a condensed/bullet point version of her previously released book. If you are looking for a continuation of the humorous anecdotal parenting nonfiction novel Bringing Up Bebe, then you will probably be disappointed. If you want an easy to digest book containing the nitty-gritty of Druckerman's observations of French parenting then this is just the thing for you. I've actually had success getting my husband to read this. I enjoyed revisiting all her nuggets of wisdom as well with a format that helped it to "stick" a little better.

Loved the book and its ideas. Just gives ideas on a different way of parenting without being preachy. Wish I had the book when my children were born. Can't wait to read the sequel, which I've already purchased.
