Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
Goldman, author of The Professional Photographer ( LJ 4/15/83), discusses the different types of modeling (including television commercials), opportunities in the United States and elsewhere, and work for men, women, children, and teenagers. He profiles well-known models and includes a list of resources. Agents, models, and photographers are quoted frequently and at length. While this gives the book a conversational and balanced tone, it also means that some unity and consistency are sacrificed. Goldman's book covers the same material as Bob Weinstein's Breaking into Modeling (Arco, 1983) but in much greater detail. Weinstein's book is aimed at young adults; Goldman's is appropriate for a somewhat older audience. For career collections. Wendy Allex, Central Arkansas Lib. System, Little Rock
