Lilly is a girl who is having a hard time giving up the past and the feelings that come along with it.
Lilly has just graduated high school and is headed to college with her long- time boyfriend of 4 yrs., Sander and her best friend Lauren.
Lilly is hoping that by going to college with Sander that they will be able to spend more time together without having a time restriction on it.
Little does Lilly know, but her whole world as she knows it, is about to change!
Lilly and Lauren go to a Frat party with Sander and his room-mate on the first night of being in college and Lilly winds up getting separated from them, on her way back to the dorm she meets Clarissa.
Clarissa invites Lilly to attend a party with her at another house. Lilly is throwing all caution to the wind and wanting to enjoy her college experience and goes with Clarissa and her gang of friends to this party.
In walks Colton. As soon as Lilly and Colton’s eyes meet it is like Lilly is experiencing this inner battle and doesn’t understand why she is having these feelings for a guy who is her total opposite of what she likes.
Colton has tattoos and piercings and is nothing like Sander.
Lilly and Colton are getting closer as the days go by and she is starting to feel distant from Sander and Lauren more and more.
There is this unspoken attraction between Lilly & Colton and more than once in the book Lilly is fighting to stay away from him.
She lets him in her space and winds up feeling bad for Sander and the guy he used to be when they were in high school.
She keeps letting Sander come back into her heart even though he is doing nothing but slowly ripping it apart.
Sander and Lauren wind up doing the unspeakable and Lilly can’t forgive them this time.
She has come to terms that maybe people do change and that her boyfriend from high school and best friend are people she loved a long time ago,
and that now she now has new friends and a love that really do care about her and not what she can do for them.
Will her heart let her give up things of the past and let new friends and love in?

I hate to give bad reviews buuuut....i dont know what to say. I had a really hard time liking Lily. She would spout off at the drop of a hat. I do realize towards the end she had plenty to get mad about but at first she was almost just annoying with how often she would get mad over nothing and her personality was kind of dull. And when you cant connect with the main character, it kind of ruins the whole book. In fact most of the main characters were jerks so the whole thing was kimd of depressing. Would have liked to hear more from Clarissa. Also there could have been a lot more dialog! Most of this books was Lily lost in her own thoughts and it was the same stuff over and over. Just really wasnt impressed with the book over all.

WOW, I'm really gonna try and say more in this review but....WOW!!! I started reading this book and realized it was another book about a college couple....there are soooo many out there and they are pretty much all the same. Everyone is trying to recreate that one book! Well this is not like any of those others, this book stands all by itself!! I loved every happy, sad, pissed off moment of this book! Bayli Lane truly delivered with this one!! I love and hate that this is a stand alone book!! I love how Bayli ended this book, it was truly perfect!! I hate it cause i want more of Colton and Lilly!! 5 Stars from me, I'd give it more if i could!! Read this book, you'll be glad you did!!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
