Becoming Psychicby Stephen Kierulff, Stanley Krippner
Becoming Psychic provides a lively dialogue between a clinical psychologist who believes that he has had a number of psychic (or "paranormal") experiences and a research psychologist and parapsychologist who attempts to put these reports in a scientific framework. The anecdotes make for fascinating reading and the scientific responses are relayed in a reader-friendly manner. Readers who have had similar experiences can begin to understand their own glimpses of future events, remarkable recoveries from major or minor illnesses, or knowledge of what is happening to a loved one hundreds of miles away.Paul Von Ward, author of Our Solarian Legacy, writes in the Introduction: "Becoming Psychic is a book for everyone who seeks meaning among the non-ordinary experiences of life. Telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokenesis, precognition, mind/body healing, prayer, and synchronicity are all illustrated in personal terms by Dr. Kierulff and placed in scientific context by Stanley Krippner-a successful merging of the perspectives of the experiencer and the scientist."

Becoming Psychic is essential reading, both for the beginner interested in developing latent abilities and also for the adept eager to keep up with the laterest scientific findings. Dr. Kierulff's chatty, reader-friendly approach to developing psychic ability is the perfect complement to Dr. Krippner's lucid explanations of relevant parapsychological research. Brimming with intriguing personal experiences and the latest scientific findings, this readable and inspiring volume touches heart, mind, and spirit.
...of scholarly and anecdotal information, this book first explains and then demonstrates the principals it puts forward. It is told in an easily understood but not simplistic manner and rewards the reader with a pretty good idea of how 'becoming psychic' actually works.
Very rarely has a book affected my emotions and senses in such a way. The book was so well written that it would also do very well as a textbook. Except that this would actually be a textbook from which one could learn something! Dr. Kierulff and Dr. Krippner have done an exceptional job balancing the remarkable experiences with the relevant, and unbiased, theory, analysis, and references.
