Overview

~The prequel to the London Lovers Series~ The dreaded friend-zone... The last place I ever want to be with college basketball God, Jake LaShae. I am losing my mind trying to figure out what this gorgeous and confident man wants from me. I need to break through his walls. What is it about me that makes him not go there? What am I lacking? When a mind-blowing betrayal knocks the wind out of me, and I think I can't feel any lower...Brody stumbles into my path—barefoot no less, and sexy as hell. His direct and mouth-watering swagger is a breath of fresh air. The feelings this man gives me are like nothing I've ever experienced. But Brody has a past. A past that makes it nearly impossible for him to trust me and let us become us in whatever capacity that may be. Just when Brody and I truly connect, just when I think that finding my soul-mate in college isn't a total joke, Jake comes back into my life…and messes things up…possibly for good.

This was a free book on my nook so I thought... why not? Well, don't! This book is poorly written, and the characters act like they just stepped out of the 8th grade. Way too jr high for this lady.

Very slow start, terrible grammar, and all sorts of mixed up tenses from the start. Cute idea, but poor execution.

After reading and loving A Broken Us I was excited to return to where it all started with Finley and Brody. It is obvious the thought that Amy Daws put into the back story and the characters that would form this story. They are well developed and so very interesting. I absolutely loved A Broken Us and spent a lot of emotion reading it. Becoming Us took more reading but ultimately allowed me to love these characters all the more.  Becoming Us allowed me to become a voyeur in the development of the relationship between Brody and Finley and introduced more characters that I love and want to know so much more about! It is a real pleasure to watch an author begin her journey and see her writing grow with her and I have done that with Amy Daws! From the true story of Chasing Hope to a change to fiction is such a change and Amy has tackled it with a great deal of determination and it shows in the growth from book to book. I highly recommend Becoming Us and give Amy Daws four steaming cups of Room With Books coffee. I can't wait to see what this talented author gives us next! ~ Patricia, Room With Books ~

If I had a daughter that acted like Finley, I'd probably smack her.

This was one of the worst books I've read. Very, very immature style, and poorly edited. The author writes like a sex-starved teenager who decided to attempt to put their immature fantasies on paper. Or, in this case, electronic device. The author seems to have a twisted sense of what comprises a true relationship and what real love is. It strikes me as fan fiction, but I'm not sure what inspired it. If it is fan fiction, its content is better than 50 Shades of Grey, but the writing itself is worse. My suggestions to the author: Grow up and gain some more real-life experience, and hire a good editor.

This book had so much potential to be really great Loved the characters. Then it started to sound stupid. "I love us" was cute once or twice. Then it became overkill. Why didn't the editor catch this?? Started to sound like a really bad soap,

I Feel Like You Could Really Connect With The Characters Honestly.. Great Story Really Just A Bit Unrealistic Considering Some Of The Stuff A Senior In College Would Do In Real Life Is Not What Happened In The Book... Overall Great Book Though Keep Them Coming

A Free Friday selection. For young adults? But how young? A bit too much drama for someone who's a senior in college. It was alwas a pleasant surprise when Fin would act her mature age and when Brody would act his; suspect that's what kept me reading till the end.

I loved the book . it made me love my boyfriend in a whole new way

Fin was unreal and immature even for a senior in college. Story drawn out. Ending- really? You are in a 4 year relationship and you dont have faith in your partner. Unrealistic.

Typical college life. Everyone likes the jock seems it brings you good looks Wether there actually there or not. Most of these boys are either conceded or have a mommy or daddy issue. Trying to please and be the best for there parents. All in all good read.

Good read, crazy college stuff. Very surprised Fin goes from one hot guy to another so fast. Would have liked a little more info about life after her first year out of college.

I agree with the reviewer which wrote the book had potential but then started to become stupid. For it being a free book - it's OK but I would not recommend spending money to purchase it.
