Becoming X

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Becoming X is one of the most engaging byproducts of post-Portishead trip-hop. While the Sneaker Pimps don't have the doomed romanticism of Portishead or the nasty experimental tendencies of Tricky, they have a cool sense of pop hooks and an edgier guitar attack than their predecessors. "Tesko Suicide" moves along with jagged guitars and rhythms, while "6 Underground" is coolly detached postmodern soul. Becoming X creates an airy, urban atmosphere, and while the record begins to unravel toward the end, it is an exciting, entrancing listen.

    need new album

I absolutely LOVE this album. They really need to get Kelly back in to make another album... She has a one of a kind voice and they have the music to back it up.

    Searching For A Year!!!

I have been for the past year looking for this song, 6 underground. I have always heard it on tv shows, movie previews and never could find out who sung the song and could never figure out the title of the song. A couple of days ago while watching the new tv show called the titans, 6 underground was the opening theme song! I was so excited because now i have a show that i could look up to see what the heck the name of that song is. So i went on line for about an hour and sure enough with determination, i found the song i have been searching for!! Thanks to the internet i can now buy the cd and listen to it over and over again!!! I listened to some of the samples also available and i am impressed!!! This a great song and will recommend this song to anyone that digs this style of music!!!

Don't be shy....give it a listen, and you'll love it!

I first fell in love with the Sneaker Pimps electric-techno beats with ''6 Underground'' playing on the radio. Then, I found Becoming X, and I found a new favorite album. This music is so different on it's own, with it's weird mixes and techno beats, and it's made even better with the beautiful, haunting and almost childlike (but sultry) voice of Kelli Ali. Sneaker Pimps' Becoming X is a great CD, one of the best I own, so give a listen and you won't be sorry!
