I not only LOVE this book, which is my new bible of leadership, but had the honor of attending the live event the book is based on. The teachings in this book are practical tools to use but is also full of wonderful stories and inspirational messages that will ensure that you become YOUR very best in ALL areas of your life. You must first begin by leading yourself and this book will give you the plan to do just that. Steve Shallenberger is a true leader in every sense of the word and is one of the most genuine and helpful people I have ever met. This book is truly an amazing investment in yourself and your future. You must get one for yourself and everyone on your team in life and in business.

This book is one of those book that can literally change your life. I have been to his seminars and read this book and I would recommend it to anyone trying to improve themselves as a leader in anyway shape or form or just someone trying to become their best!

Not only is Becoming Your Best a fantastic read, it is also inspiring and motivating.  By reading and applying the principles within it, not only have I been able to improve in areas of weakness in my life, but have also found ways to develop my strengths to a higher potential.  Our own life experiences teach us valuable lessons in life but I appreciate when individuals, such as Steve Shallenberger, invite the reader into their life experiences and expertise so I can also learn through their struggles and successes and not feel alone in my own personal development.  This has not been a one time read for me, it is a book that is reopened and referenced often. I highly recommend it!

The author, Steve Shallenberger, has a lot of fun and inspiring stories that remind me a lot of those in Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People." The "12 guiding constants" he covers are common sense, but often forgotten by many people today. Shallenberger's book is a good reminder of the importance of living these principles in everyday life. I would consider this book a 'must read.' ...it is one of the better leadership books I have read in a long time.

AWESOME BOOK! Just received this book and recently sat through their seminars. Truly amazing! Anyone, whether you're a manager in a company or you're a stay-at-home parent, needs to read this book! What they taught in their seminars and what's in this book have already transformed my company and my approach to leadership. I've been using their success formula now for over four months and it's so simple to use. I recommend getting this book for yourself, your family, and co-workers!!

I have known Steve, Roxanne and Robbie, and their extended family for many, many years. I always knew they were a family of character and integrity, but after reading their books, I find myself looking for ways to live out their principles. For example, I bought groceries specifically, to give to a homeless person who is always out at the 94 and Snelling exit.  There was a state trooper' behind me in the drive thru, and I paid for his meal and drove off.  I was accountable by writing a letter to our clients, expressing how sorry we were for a scheduling conflict. It is true what they say, that it does make you feel better to live by these principles, and look for ways to be a leader in your business and family lives.  You can never be wrong if you "Treat people the right way".

I just started reading this book and it has already transformed the way I plan my week and use my time. As a single parent, and working mother my time and energy are at a premium. This book aims to decrease stress, and help you focus on the things that matter most. Unlike some other business books that are full of jargon and only focused on output and work, this book is phenomenal in its approach to the whole person. It is an easy read and inspiring. It will get in your head and allow you to internalize the ideas. Lastly, I love how it clearly lays out how to implement each principle. You can take it at your own pace and immediately see results and feel like you are taking back control of your life and unleashing your potential. I highly recommend this book to anyone juggling responsibilites in their life with work and family.

Powerful, Fun, and TRANSFORMATIONAL The principles contained in this book will propel you to be your best.  Each time I read from this book, I come away inspired and motivated to become better. Best of all, I come away with clear action items that I can apply immediately to improve myself as a leader, a friend, a father, a husband, and an individual.   Whether you are  looking to improve as  a leader, in your relationships with others, or in your own personal development, this book is a must read!   I am attending an event this week where Steve Shallenberger will be speaking. I can't wait!

many business books come and go as the latest trend passes.  Sure they are good information, but many discuss niche subjects that often become irrelevant.  This book strikes at the core of timeless principles.  It doesn't just  inform the reader on how to succeed in business, though it does that, it instructs the reader how to wing at life.  It is a must read for those in my circle of influence.  I'll be reading again soon.
