"The pianos sound different in the 4 disks. Some sound like harpsichord pianos and some sound more like grand pianos. It is amazing that the cello in the recording is over 400 years old!" "It sounds like it never repeats." "I don't think Beethoven would believe that his music would be played 300 years later." Coleman age 11 "I like to draw pictures while listening to this music. I think Beethoven had a good imagination. I can't describe how much I like this music!" Gabe age 8 "I think Beethoven was thinking about butterflies when he was writing this music." Henry age 6 Listening to Pianos and Cellos is quite a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. We took some time to rest and really hear the different pianos that are featured in the cd's. The arrangements are beautiful and the expertise of the players made listening very enjoyable. We were able to pick out subtle differences in the piano sounds and appreciate the historical accuracy of the arrangements. After focused listening, we let the music be our background for the school day and WOW, we were calm and able to accomplish a lot! I guess music really does calm the savage beast! Mom
